Meet Dr. Glick

Dr. Glick's dedication to individualized quality dental implants and periodontal treatment is based on his commitment to education, expertise and innovation. He received his dental training at the University of Illinois. Following dental school he received a National Institute of Dental Research training fellowship. He thereafter received his periodontal training at the University of Iowa, where he remained on the faculty at the University and was part of a research team that investigated early bone responses to dental implants. His research team was the first to demonstrate that bone has the ability to directly form against the implant surface ( Osseointergrate) , even in conditions where implants and teeth are simultaneously placed (Journal of Dental Research March 1974). This scientific documentation serves as the basis for todays implant therapy, whereby implants and teeth can be placed the same day with a high degree of clinical success.

Dr. Glick has continued education in dental implants by presenting his research and clinical findings to such organizations as the International and American Associations of Dental Research, The Academy of Osseointergration, as well as the The American Academy of Periodontists. He has served as a member of The American Society of Testing and Materials where he has helped in the development of manufacturing standards that apply to medical and dental implant surfaces. Most recently he has developed methods used for complex computer-guided implant surgery which is combined with providing implants and teeth same day. Dr. Glick also co-authored a chapter in a newly published book on advanced implant bone grafting procedures titled "The Osseo-Periosteal Bone Flap ".

At this time Dr. Glick is on the Board of Directors at the Metropolitan Denver Dental Society and continues to lecture at local, regional, and national meetings.
